![]() ![]() More attendees of the workshop board the bus as it makes its way through town. Palahniuk makes it work quite nicely and Guts was an entertaining read. However, if an author can make graphic and gross serve a purpose in an otherwise good story, more power to him. According to the author, people have passed out during live readings of Guts. However, I read Guts with intense interest. So, I’ll let other readers reach conclusions about that. I usually just skim poetry, not liking it much as a literary form. I’m not real familiar with his work, so I’ll take the author’s word for it. Guts is supposedly Palahniuk’s most famous story. There is a poem about Saint Gut-Free titled, Landmarks and a short story by Saint Gut-Free titled, Guts, which explains why he is so skinny despite his intake of food. ![]() ![]() The driver is dubbed Saint Gut-Free because he’s so skinny despite a proclivity for junk food. A relatively short introduction that reveals just enough to portend suspense.Ī bus cruises around town and picks up participants for the writers’ conference. ![]()
