![]() My guess is, this is the first book in a series (trilogy, perhaps?), which would make perfect sense, because as the ending of a standalone book, it does not have the right level of ooomph. First impressions is that it is pretty good, although I would've preferred a somewhat more exciting ending. From the blurbs about the Nebula-nominated books, this one was squarely in the middle of the pack, but then, I've already got burned on All the Birds in the Sky (somewhat, definitely thought it'd be better). I was lucky enough to pick up Ninefox Gambit at a used book store, while I was looking for completely different things. First, All the birds in the Sky discussion, is here. Second in my series of posts about this year's Nebula nominees. ![]()
